Even though I really like living in big cities, they are doing have their drawbacks. They are noisy, chaotic, hurried instead of very green. Because of this , at one point in my life, I would like to have a put in place the countryside , close to the mountains, in rugged nature, a place that is bereft of human influence.

In this second home, I would have the ability to reconnect with nature, write my articles and books, do a bit of bed-and-breakfasting on the side, retreating into careful consideration and mindfulness while also keeping the door wide open to friends and family

Metropolitan areas have stores, services, restaurants, amusement opportunities, schools, medical care, high speed internet, cable tv, etc. Most of the well paid work are found in urban areas. Housing costs are frequently greater in urban areas, but accessibility to public transportation could make having individual transportation unneeded. Most city areas have parks, green space. They also have very little light pollution, you can actually see the stars, occasionally the northern lights. Land and housing costs have risen significantly the past few years, but it’s even so a lot less expensive than residing in town. We have our own drilled well with excellent water, sewer, no water or sewer charges. Taxes are much less than any metropolitan area.
